QFD - House Fire Prepped
Making house fire preparation feel simple, achievable and family-friendly.
Young families remain one of the most vulnerable groups when it comes to house fires. Research showed that families with children aged zero to five were the least prepared, with many lacking working smoke alarms or a clear fire escape plan. Our challenge was to help minimise the risk of injury and loss of life by motivating this audience to take simple, preventative actions before an emergency occurred.
We created the Be Ready. Be Set. Be House Fire Prepped. campaign to educate and empower families to prepare their homes through three clear actions: checking smoke alarms regularly, creating a home fire escape plan and practising that plan together as a family.
By framing preparation as achievable and relevant to everyday family life and providing a clear call to action to access further resources online, the campaign made house fire preparedness feel manageable and family friendly, encouraging greater awareness and readiness in Queensland homes.
